یک سری مطالعات جدید بررسی ON Line و مرور MRIسینه به کمک سیستمCAD Computer Aided Detection اخیرا توسعه یافته است.
شرکت Confirma از پیشگامان CADبرای سیستمهای MRIساخت سری جدیدی از سیستمهای CADخود را آغاز کرده است. مرور بعدی در 22ماه می سال2007 رخ خواهد داد و بوسیله دکترGruen از مرکز رادیولوژیNorwalk ارائه خواهد شد. قسمت بررسی بیمار به صورت ON Lineابزار بررسی موثری فراهم می کند که در تشخیص و مطالعات interventionدر MRI سینه بسیار کمک کننده خواهد بود.
به گزارش سایت جامع علوم پزشکی پرتو ایران(WWW.Prin.Ir) و به نقل از Medinews.Com در خلال بررسی اخیر در24 آوریل 2007،دکتر 13Gruen نمونه ارائه کرد که از MRI سینه در غربالگری زنان در معرض خطر، مرحله بندی بیماری ، بررسی نواحی جانبی سینه و پایش تاثیر درمان استفاده کرده بود.
دکترGruen می گوید: هیچ راهی وجود ندارد که بتوانیم5 تا 10مورد MRI سینه را در یک روز با صرف زمان کافی بدون استفاده از CAD برای بررسی اطلاعات و ارا ئه گزارش بررسی کنیم . CAD به ما در مدیریت هزاران تصویر مطالعه MRI سینه کمک کرده وروند کار را نیز استاندارد سازی می کند.
دکترGruen گزارش کرد که با استفاده از سیستم CAD میزان نتایج غلط- مثبت کاهش و نرخ نمونه برداری های مثبت افزایش یافته است . مشاهدات دکترGruen با نتایج تحقیقات رو به افزایش اخیر که پیشنهاد می کنند استفاده از CAD در بررسی نتایج MRI سینه می تواند باعث افزایش صحت وتخصص یافتگی آزمون شده ونمونه برداری غیر ضروری را کاهش دهد ، مطابقت دارد.
یک مطالعه پیش بالینی جدید بوسیله Constance Lehmanمدیر مرکز تصویر برداری سینه دانشگاه واشنگتن واستادیاررادیولوژی دانشکده پزشکی واشنگتن پیشنهاد کرد که بررسی CAD تصاویر MRI سینه میتواند در ارزیابی بیماران به خوصوص زنان در معرض خطر سرطان سینه پیش از نمونه برداری بسیار با ارزش باشد.
اکنون CAD بوسیله بیش از2000 پزشک و در بیش از 700 برنامه MRI سینه در حال استفاده است و در تطابق با استانداردهایBI-RADS ) Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System)کالج آمریکایی رادیولوژی توسعه یافته است.
هدف از برنامه مطالعاتی Confirma که تحت نظر وهدایت متخصصین MRI سینه انجام می گیرد ، فراهم آوردن دستور العملی با ارزش و در دسترس برای افزایش استانداردهای تشخیص و تفصیر و تحلیل MRI سینه مطابقACR BI-RADS می باشد.

A new educational series of online discussions and case reviews of breast MRI analysis and interpretation with a computer-aided-detection (CAD) system has recently been developed.
Confirma (Bellevue, WA, USA), a developer of CAD for breast MRI systems, has initiated the series with the use of their CADstream system. The next review will take place on May 22, 2007, and will be presented by Dr. David Gruen, Norwalk Radiology Center (Norwalk, CT, USA). The online case review sessions provide an efficient educational tool that helps meet the increasing need for education in diagnostic and interventional breast MRI studies.
During a recent online review on April 24, 2007, Dr. Gruen presented 13 cases in which he used breast MRI in screening of high-risk women, disease staging, examination of the contralateral breast, and monitoring of treatment effectiveness. ?There is no way we could analyze five to 10 breast MRI cases per day in a timely manner, without using CAD to streamline data analysis and reporting,? Dr. Gruen explained. ?CAD helps us manage the thousands of images a breast MRI study can produce, while standardizing the evaluation process.?
Dr. Gruen reported that his practice?s false-positive rate has decreased since implementing CADstream and the rate of positive biopsies has increased. Dr. Gruen?s observations are consistent with an increasing body of research suggesting that the use of CAD in the evaluation of the results of breast MRI may increase the accuracy and specificity of the procedure and reduce the need for unnecessary biopsies.
A recent pre-clinical study by Constance Lehman, M.D., Ph.D., director of breast imaging at the University of Washington and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (WA, USA), an associate professor of radiology at the University of Washington?s School of Medicine (Seattle, WA, USA), suggested that CAD evaluation of breast MRI with CADstream could be of value in assessing patients prior to biopsy, particularly in women at high risk for breast cancer.
CAD is currently in use by more than 2,000 clinicians in over 700 breast MRI programs. It was developed in accordance with the American College of Radiology?s BI-RADS (Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System) standards, the benchmark for major criteria such as lesion classification and kinetic and morphologic analyses.
The goals of Confirma?s education program, designed under the guidance of breast MRI experts, are to provide instruction that is of high value and accessible, and to encourage increasing compliance with recognized standards, the ACR BI-RADS for breast MRI analysis and interpretation
